Requirements
The duties of an Editor will include:
Setting the editorial agenda for the publication on all its platforms.
Working with teams of reporters, editors, videographers and designers and motivating them to produce best-in-class work.
Developing and maintaining relationships with the region’s key newsmakers.
Developing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of high-level contributors, including columnists, thought leaders and opinion-formers.
Writing thought-provoking, relevant and prescient columns and editor’s letters.
Continuing to expand the scope of the brand, both in terms of geographical reach and content types and delivery.
Working closely with the publisher and the commercial teams to develop new and innovative revenue opportunities.
Driving the delivery of the brand’s news-making award ceremonies, conferences and networking events.

Qualifications:

4+ years’ experience working in a similar role
Experience in the Kingdom and familiarity with its media landscape is required.​
Solid understanding of local and regional business issues and a contacts book packed with c-suite executives, officials and investors.
Understanding how to build audiences across digital platforms, be able tell stories in a variety of formats, understand analytic tools and have the personality and drive to motivate a team to set the news agenda for the whole Middle East.
