Premium Solutions Consultancy is hiring on behalf of a client for a key role within Major Projects – Project Control Department. We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer with strong expertise in project scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting for large-scale projects
📌 Job Title: Planning Engineer
Division: Planning & Cost Control – Major Projects

Location: Qatar
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Senior Planning Engineer in planning, monitoring, and controlling project schedules
• Review and oversee development of baseline schedules by EPCC contractors
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and critical paths
• Track physical progress, earned value, and schedule performance metrics
• Validate contractor progress reports and prepare management presentations
• Review resource histograms, manpower plans, and allocation forecasts
• Assess schedule risks and analyze impacts of variations and scope changes
• Support claims analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) evaluations
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure schedule alignment
• Maintain accurate planning records, reports, and lessons learned documentation
• Ensure compliance with company policies, Integrated Management Systems, and HSE regulations
🔹 Requirements :
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• Professional certifications in planning or project controls are an advantage
• Minimum 7 years of experience, with 3–5 years in major or large-scale projects
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project
• Experience working with EPCC contractors and complex project schedules
• Sound knowledge of earned value management and progress measurement techniques
• Strong analytical, reporting, and coordination skills
