The Commercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire commercial lifecycle of projects, ensuring profitability, contractual compliance, and effective risk management. The role requires close coordination with internal teams as well as external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and sustainable business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the complete tendering process from initial inquiry through to final submission
Preparing, reviewing, and submitting technical and commercial tender documents
Reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions, including payment terms, variations, penalties, warranties, and liabilities
Identifying, assessing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
Monitoring project costs against approved budgets to ensure financial control
Managing variations, change orders, and additional works to protect project margins
Supporting project teams with cost forecasting, cash flow planning, and detailed cost reporting
Identifying, preparing, and submitting variations and change orders in a timely manner
Acting as the primary commercial point of contact with clients, consultants, and contractors
Participating in commercial negotiations, meetings, and discussions
Building and maintaining strong professional relationships to support project success and business development
