Role Overview
The HR Employee Relations Specialist will strengthen employee engagement, resolve workplace concerns, ensure compliance with Kuwait Labor Law and CMA HR requirements, and support the overall employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and discretion, and thrives in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Workplace Support:
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee queries, workplace concerns, and ER matters.
- Manage conflict resolution, investigations, and employee counseling with fairness and confidentiality.
- Coach managers on handling performance and behavioral issues.
- Support grievance and disciplinary procedures in accordance with legal and internal requirements.
Labor Law, Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure adherence to Kuwait Labor Law, CMA regulations, and company HR policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and documentation for audit readiness.
- Coordinate with HR & Government Relations teams on PAM, MOI, and MOCI processes.
- Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Support employee engagement activities, surveys, and culture initiatives.
- Assist with planning recognition programs, wellness activities, and company events.
- Track engagement trends and propose improvements to enhance retention and morale.
Performance & Attendance Management
- Support managers in drafting and monitoring performance improvement plans (PIPs).
- Track attendance, leave, punctuality, and behavioral trends, escalating concerns when needed.
- Participate in probation evaluation processes and maintain accurate records.
Onboarding & Offboarding Support
- Guide new hires during onboarding to ensure a smooth integration into the company.
- Conduct exit interviews and extract insights for HR and leadership.
- Ensure offboarding processes follow legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- 2-4 years of HR experience, with strong exposure to employee relations and HR operations.
- Solid knowledge of Kuwait Labor Law; CMA-regulated environment experience is an advantage.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and Arabic required.
