Quantity Surveyor will assist in assessment of contractor’s interim and final payments and claims. He/She will identify the contract forms and typical Conditions of Contract which can be used for the project, managing the contracts with suppliers and contractors, closing out of contracts. He/She will advise the PWA of any instances where Construction Contractors are in breach of the contractual obligations. Also, will also assist Senior Quantity Surveyor to prepare and submit CDM Smith’s monthly payment requests.

Requirements:
• Assist Senior Quantity Surveyor in commercial and contractual aspects of contractor’s contracts.
• Evaluate contractor’s payment applications for completeness, accuracy and compliance.
• Review variations to assess the cause and sources and check variation orders for completeness, accuracy and compliance.
• Assessment of contractor’s claims to identify and track the cause and sources, completeness, accuracy and compliance of claim application and prepare recommendations for PWA.
• Assist Senior Quantity Surveyor to prepare recommendations for the application for payment documents and forward to PWA.
• Advice PWA of any issues that could give rise to a contractual claim for time and/or cost.
• Manage the preparation, submittal, review and settlement of final accounts.
• Provide updates for monthly financial reports with payment details, project cash flow, records of committed costs, anticipated costs remaining, and overall estimate cost to complete the project.
• Ensure the necessary bonds and insurances are executed by the Construction Contractors and renewed and/or extended in due time as required.
• Advise PWA for any contractual matters with construction contracts.
• Ensure compliance of RPD procedures for commercial and cost management on the project.
• Maintain records of contract, correspondences, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules.
• Ensure that contractor is complying with contractual and legal requirements, PWA specifications.
