Sous Chef – Pizza
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations for pizza production.
Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to recipes and quality standards.
Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff, including Commis Chefs and kitchen helpers.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of ingredients.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the kitchen.
Help in menu planning, portion control, and inventory management.
Monitor cooking times, presentation, and taste to maintain consistency.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Diploma / Graduate in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or equivalent vocational training.
Proven experience in pizza preparation and Italian cuisine is a plus.
Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
Knowledge of hygiene, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in a kitchen role, with at least 1 year as a Commis Chef or similar in pizza/Italian cuisine preferred.
