The Finance Director – Middle East is responsible for the financial operations, forecasting and reporting of the Middle East region. The focus of which is partnering closely with the Vice President Middle East to provide valuable insight into the decision-making process as the portfolio of engineering projects executed in region expand across a broad geographical footprint.
KBR are seeking an individual who ideally has experience of working with a projects-based business, familiarity with US GAAP, and experience implementing change in the form of improved end-to-end cycle times.
This individual will work cross-functionally to challenge, understand and provide foresight of risks and opportunities to project performance. A deep understanding of project billing and accounting process will be developed as well as system structures and inter-dependencies. Through this understanding they will provide valuable business insight around delivered and forecast performance.
The right individual will have the ability to set-up Joint Ventures and work with local partners.

Responsibilities
Support operational monitoring and improvements including the management of working capital of the business units through an excellent understanding of the order to cash process, and the management of utilisation of staff
Installs and maintains sound technical accounting practices, including proactive identification, evaluation, escalation, and conclusion/documentation of complex and/or judgmental areas in compliance with US GAAP.
Successful development, enhancement, and maintenance of all internal controls. Drive compliance and governance in day-to-day activities and ensure compliance with SOX and anti-corruption requirements.
Close coordination, partnership and alignment with leadership and functions of projects, including commercial, project controls (specifically EAC production) and supply chain to enable project objectives to be achieved.
Ownership of the business unit balance sheet; understanding the drivers, timing and predictability with which they will impact the P&L
Oversight of reconciliations, integrations and disclosures for the business unit; influences key Stakeholders where there are critical dependencies

Bachelor's degree required
Accounting qualification required
A relevant number of years' experience in accounting, finance, or FP&A; project accounting experience desirable; public accounting experience preferred
