About the role
Pertro Middle East Petroleum LLC is seeking an experienced and highly capable Financial Controller to lead and oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong Oil & Gas industry expertise combined with comprehensive banking and treasury management experience, ensuring robust financial control and compliance across all company activities in the UAE and the broader region.

Key responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of the company’s banking relationships, including account management, credit facilities, loan negotiations, and bank correspondence
Manage treasury operations including cash flow, liquidity planning, fund allocation, and bank reconciliations across all company accounts
Lead overall financial control including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and internal controls
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations
Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions on all banking and financial matters
Monitor and manage financial risks including currency exposure, interest rate risk, and credit risk within the Oil & Gas sector
Support senior management with financial insights and strategic recommendations to drive business performance

Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role specifically within the Oil & Gas industry
Proven hands-on experience managing banking relationships, credit facilities, and treasury functions end-to-end
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification is strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE financial regulations, and VAT compliance
Proficient in ERP accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills with high attention to detail
Currently residing in the UAE or GCC region is a strong advantage
