Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a western trained, native Arabic speaking Maternal Fetal Medicine Consultant for their client in Abu Dhabi, UAE which is a leading multispecialty hospital. The Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) service is a high-volume unit managing approximately 1,500–1,700 patients per month, covering both low- and high-risk pregnancies and functioning as a key referral center for internal and external cases. The hospital is supported by a Level 3 NICU, ensuring comprehensive care from antenatal diagnosis to postnatal management.We are looking for Tier 1 Fellowship trained Consultant Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists with Western qualifications such as ABMS (USA), CCT/CCST (UK), RCPSC (Canada), FRANZCOG (Australia & New Zealand) or equivalent Tier 1 credentials recognized by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi.
Physicians who have completed a Tier 2 Board certification and Fellowship training may also apply for this vacancy.The Consultant Maternal Fetal Medicine will be responsible for providing comprehensive high-risk obstetric care, including antenatal, inpatient, and consultation services for complex maternal and fetal conditions. Conduct outpatient antenatal clinics for both low- and high-risk pregnancies, including first trimester screening, detailed anomaly scans, fetal echocardiography, growth surveillance, Doppler studies, and cervical length assessments. Provide inpatient consultations and co-management of high-risk obstetric patients.Perform invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures including amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS), supported by a fully equipped unit for advanced fetal assessment. Manage pregnancies complicated by maternal medical disorders, multiple gestations, fetal growth restriction, hypertensive disorders, diabetes, preterm labor, and congenital anomalies.Develop and implement evidence-based care pathways and clinical protocols aligned with international standards. Collaborate closely with neonatology, anesthesia, genetics, endocrinology, cardiology, and other subspecialties to ensure optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes. Provide detailed patient counseling regarding prenatal screening, genetic testing, fetal anomalies, and delivery planning.Participate in high-risk obstetric clinics, multidisciplinary case discussions, and clinical governance activities. Lead and contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality reviews, and accreditation processes. Supervise and mentor obstetrics and gynecology specialists, residents, and sonographers and contribute to teaching, research activities and continuing medical education programs. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Department of Health regulations and hospital policies.The role offers structured working hours of 9 hours per day, totaling 48 hours per week.
Salary : Aed 100,000 to Aed 120,000 per month plus family accommodation, family medical insurance, annual family airfare and monthly incentives (Salary and incentives mentioned in the advertisement are indicative.
