Senior Design Engineer - Electrical
Job Location : Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Key Responsibilities :
• Lead electrical design activities from concept to detailed design, including drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with ADDC, DEWA, and other local authority regulations*, codes, and standards.
• Perform load calculations, fault level analysis, cable sizing, protection coordination, and power system studiesusing industry-standard software (E-Tab preferred).
• Review and approve electrical design documents, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and authority representatives for approvals and NOCs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and CAD technicians.
• Support project execution teams with design clarifications, site coordination, and inspections.
• Prepare reports, design notes, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and sustainability requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree is an advantage).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design within the UAE/GCC region.
• Strong knowledge of ADDC/DEWA authority requirements and approval processes
• Proficiency in E-Tab (ETAP)and other design software tools for electrical calculations.
• Excellent project coordination and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
