We are looking for a qualified and experienced QA/QC Engineer – MEP to join our team for infrastructure and building projects in Qatar, in compliance with Ashghal standards.
Job Responsibilities
• Implement and maintain Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and Method Statements.
• Ensure all works comply with:
o Project specifications and contract requirements
o Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS)
o Approved shop drawings and material submittals
• Conduct inspections and quality checks for:
o HVAC Systems (AHU, FCU, ducting, chilled water piping)
o Electrical Systems (cabling, panels, earthing, lighting)
o Plumbing & Drainage Systems
o Fire Fighting Systems (sprinkler, hydrant, pumps)
o Fire Alarm Systems (detection, panels, devices)
o ELV Systems (CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, BMS)
• Prepare and submit:
o Inspection Requests (IRs)
o Material Inspection Requests (MIRs)
o RFIs and QA/QC reports
• Coordinate inspections with Consultant and Client (Ashghal).
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved method statements.
Testing & Commissioning
• Witness and verify testing of:
o HVAC systems (pressure testing, air balancing, duct leakage)
o Electrical systems (IR test, continuity, functional testing)
o Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting systems
o ELV system integration and functionality
• Ensure proper documentation and approvals for Testing & Commissioning (T&C).
Quality Control & Compliance
• Raise and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation, logs, and test records.
• Ensure all materials are approved prior to installation.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in MEP QA/QC
• Mandatory experience in Ashghal projects
• Strong knowledge of:
o QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications)
o MEP systems including Fire & ELV
Certifications (Preferred)
• ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor
• UPDA/MMUP Certification
• Familiarity with standards such as:
o ASHRAE (HVAC)
o NFPA (Fire Protection)
o IEC (Electrical & ELV)
