Job Title: Planning Engineer / Scheduler
Experience Required:
5–10 years (Pipeline Projects – Oil & Gas Industry)
Qualifications & Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline (required)
Master’s Degree or professional certification is an advantage
Certification in Primavera P6 (Oracle University or equivalent) is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule Development & Maintenance:
Develop Level 3 and Level 4 resource-loaded detailed project schedules for pipeline projects including mainline, tie-ins, and associated facilities
Build and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 (mandatory)
Incorporate all project phases including FEED, engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup
Develop WBS, activity coding, milestones, and logic sequencing aligned with project scope
Perform resource loading and resource leveling for all activities
Maintain baseline schedules and manage schedule change control processes
Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
Monitor actual progress versus planned progress across all project disciplines and subcontractors
Prepare and submit Saudi Aramco Project Control dashboards and reports accurately and on time
Collect field progress data and update schedules weekly and monthly
Prepare Weekly Progress Reports (WPR), Monthly Progress Reports (MPR), and Look-Ahead schedules
Track KPIs including SPI, critical path activities, float consumption, and earned value metrics
Identify schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions
Critical Path & Risk Analysis:
Perform critical path analysis and identify near-critical activities impacting project completion
Assess impact of scope changes, weather conditions, and unforeseen events on project schedule
Develop recovery and acceleration schedules when required
Coordination & Interface Management:
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for schedule alignment
Liaise with subcontractors and vendors for progress updates and schedule inputs
Participate in schedule review meetings with Client, PMC, and regulatory bodies
Manage interface milestones between pipeline, facilities, tie-ins, and third-party activities
Documentation & Deliverables:
Prepare and submit all schedule-related deliverables as per Project Execution Plan (PEP) and contractual requirements
Maintain schedule registers, baseline change logs, and planning documentation
Ensure compliance with client reporting formats and standards
Experience Requirements:
5–10 years experience in project planning and scheduling in Oil & Gas industry
Minimum 5 years experience in onshore/offshore pipeline construction projects
Experience in large-diameter pipeline projects (up to 16”) preferred
Minimum 5 years Saudi Aramco project experience highly preferred
Pipeline-Specific Experience:
ROW (Right-of-Way) management and scheduling constraints
Pigging, hydrotesting, pre-commissioning, commissioning scheduling
River/road crossings (HDD, open-cut), tie-ins, block valve stations
Pipeline welding, coating, cathodic protection, and NDT scheduling
