Construction Specialist – Oil & Gas Projects
Location: Dubai
We are seeking an experienced Construction Specialist with extensive background in major Oil & Gas projects to oversee and coordinate construction activities for upstream, midstream, or downstream facilities in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong EPC project experience, deep knowledge of international construction standards, and proven expertise in managing multidisciplinary site activities safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate construction activities for Oil & Gas facilities including pipelines, refineries, gas processing plants, terminals, and offshore/onshore installations.
Ensure all construction work complies with project specifications, HSE standards, quality requirements, and local regulations.
Review IFC drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and construction procedures.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, commissioning, and subcontractor teams.
Monitor construction progress and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
Resolve technical and site-related issues during execution.
Ensure adherence to project schedules and cost targets.
Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety audits.
Manage contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities.
Interface with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Construction Engineering.
Minimum 10–15 years of construction experience in major Oil & Gas projects.
Strong EPC project experience in GCC/Middle East preferred.
Experience with companies such as: Saudi Aramco
Strong understanding of:
International construction codes and standards
HSE regulations
QA/QC procedures
Mechanical completion & commissioning
Proficiency in project management and reporting tools.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
