Plumbing / Fire Fighting Engineer
JOB OBJECTIVE:
Plumbing and Fire Fighting Engineer ensure the safety, efficiency, and continuous operation of a facility’s water, sanitation, and fire suppression systems. They conduct routine inspections, manage preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshoot system failures, and ensure full compliance with international safety standards and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
Lead preventive and corrective maintenance (PM/CM) operations on plumbing and fire protection systems.
Troubleshoot faults, leaks, or pressure drops in domestic water, drainage, sewage, and firefighting systems.
Oversee the servicing of fire pumps, hydrants, standpipes, wet/dry risers, and sprinkler or clean-agent suppression systems.
Ensure all building operations comply with NFPA, local fire department mandates, and international plumbing codes.
Regularly audit, test, and recertify backflow preventers, fire alarms, and fire-rated barriers.
Conduct fire risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for existing facility structures.
Supervise on-site technicians and review the performance of external maintenance contractors.
Evaluate proposed modifications or retrofits and write clear technical specifications for vendor procurement.
Requirements:
Candidates must be bilingual.
Should have valid Kuwait Driving License.
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree.
Required minimum 5 years of experience in the related field.
Must have KFF approval.
