Chief Accountant
Job Location : Kuwait
Key Responsibilities :
• Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Income Audit.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, financial policies, and accounting standards.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and monitor departmental budgets and forecasts.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team.
• Review payroll reports, employee benefits, and financial accruals.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
• Ensure proper controls are in place to safeguard company assets.
• Work closely with department heads to control costs and improve profitability.
Qualifications & Experience :
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent are preferred.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of accounting experience, including at least 2-3 years in a Chief Accountant or Senior Accounting role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of hotel accounting procedures, income auditing, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Experience with hotel management systems and accounting software (such as Opera, Sun Systems, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
• Excellent knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
