Urgent Hiring: Mechanical Site Engineer (MEP Projects)
Position: Mechanical Site Engineer
Department: MEP
Location: Project Site
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor all mechanical installation activities on site.
Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements.
Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and utility services installation works.
Ensure all mechanical works comply with project specifications, local authority regulations, and international standards.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines.
Plan and monitor manpower, equipment, and material requirements to meet project schedules.
Conduct site inspections and ensure quality workmanship.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during project execution.
Verify quantities and measurements for progress claims and subcontractor billing.
Attend project coordination and progress meetings.
Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) requirements.
Coordinate testing, balancing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
Prepare and submit inspection requests (IRs) and material inspection requests (MIRs).
Support the QA/QC team in maintaining project quality standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3–7 years of experience in MEP construction projects.
Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, hospital, hotel, or high-rise building projects.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Required Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
Knowledge of HVAC design and installation practices.
Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, and local authority standards.
Strong project coordination and site management skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
