Job Position – Commercial Engineer

Company Name – ARCO Electromechanical

Mechanical Engineering Background only to join our team. The project is located in Al Ain.
Key Responsibilities
1)-Manage all post-contract commercial activities from project award through to final handover and close-out, ensuring full control over costs, variations, and contractual compliance. Administer, prepare, and track Interim Payment Applications (IPAs) and Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs), ensuring timely submission, certification, approval, and follow-up until payment collection from the Main Contractor/Client.
2)-Monitor project cash flow, ensuring proper invoicing, certification, and collection to maintain strong financial performance.
3)-Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate Variation Orders (VOs), including cost estimation, impact analysis, and full supporting documentation in line with contract requirements.
4)-Identify, manage, and resolve payment-related issues (delays, under-certification, discrepancies) through effective contractual correspondence and commercial follow-up.
5)-Develop detailed cost breakdowns, rate analysis, and remeasurement, ensuring alignment with actual site progress and contractual provisions.
6)-Review and interpret contract terms, conditions, and clauses to ensure compliance and protect the company’s commercial interests.
7)-Apply strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, in relation to variations, claims, EOT, payments, and final accounts.
8)-Prepare and manage commercial claims, including entitlement assessment, substantiation, and agreement with Main Contractor.
9)-Track project costs, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
10)-Coordinate with engineering, planning, and site teams to validate progress, quantities, and supporting records for payments, variations, and claims.
11)-Utilize AutoCAD for drawing review and quantity verification, and PlanSwift for accurate quantity take-offs.
12)-Maintain comprehensive commercial records and documentation, including logs for payments, variations, claims, and contractual correspondence.
13)-Participate in commercial meetings with stakeholders to resolve issues.

Qualifications:

1. BS in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred Graduation from year 2021 till 2024).
2. Technical Proficiencies: Proficiency in AutoCAD/BIM, MS Excel etc.
