Procurement Manager
Job Location : Abu Dhabi, UAE
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials equipment and services for construction projects.
• Source and evaluate potential suppliers negotiate contracts and agreements and manage supplier relationships.
• Review and approve purchase orders ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor market trends and prices to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Work closely with project managers to determine project requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Collaborate with the finance team to manage budget and track expenses related to procurement activities.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and make recommendations for improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including project managers engineers and other team members.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement preferably in the construction industry.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
• Certification in CPPM (Certified Professional Procurement Manager) or CPP (Certified Purchasing Professional) is considered a plus.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
• Knowledge of local and international procurement laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English both written and spoken.
