Structural Technical Office Engineer

Job Location : UAE

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare BBS and steel shop drawings for steel reinforcement. use cut optimization program to reduce the wastage of steel reinforcement.
• Review structural IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Review the design and shop drawings for external scaffolding of slabs and column formworks
• Prepare, review, and submit structural shop drawings for consultant approval.
• Coordinate with site engineers to ensure construction follows approved structural drawings.
• Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) for design clarifications.
• Prepare and submit material submittals and technical submittals.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design conflicts.
• Perform quantity take-offs for concrete, reinforcement steel, structural steel, and other structural elements.
• Assist the commercial/QS team with BOQs, variations, and claims.
• Monitor drawing revisions and distribute the latest approved drawings to the site team.
• Review method statements related to structural works.
• Prepare as-built drawings after completion of structural activities.
• Attend technical coordination meetings with consultants and clients.
• Provide technical support during inspections and consultant approvals.
• Assist procurement by reviewing technical specifications for structural materials.
• Ensure all structural works comply with project specifications, consultant requirements, and applicable codes.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in structural and technical office work (depending on the role).
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete and structural steel.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
