Responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities for our rental equipment business. This includes overseeing accounts receivable, sales invoicing, delivery orders (DO), rental period tracking, payment processing, bank reconciliations, and outstanding balances. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Sales Invoicing and Delivery Orders (DO)
Thorough verification and accurate documentation of daily sales invoices.
Maintain and manage delivery orders (DO) linked with the rental equipment.
Ensure all DOs are aligned with customer agreements and completed services.
2) Rental Period Tracking
Accurately track rental periods, including start and end dates.
Calculate rental charges and verify against customer agreements.
Adjust rental fees based on extended or reduced rental periods as necessary.
3) Accounts Receivable and Outstanding Tracking
Record and monitor payments from customers.
Maintain an updated record of outstanding balances.
Follow up on overdue accounts and prepare aging reports regularly.
4) Payments and Receipts
Process customer payments and record receipts accurately in the accounting system.
Reconcile all payments and receipts daily, ensuring correct allocation to accounts.
Issue payment reminders and statements to clients as needed.
5) Petty Cash Management
Manage the company’s petty cash fund, ensuring correct disbursements and adequate cash levels.
Record all petty cash transactions and perform regular reconciliations.
6) Bank Reconciliation
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, verifying that all transactions are accurately reflected.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE and/or in a rental equipment or similar industry.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Good communication skills for interactions with clients, suppliers, and intercompany teams.
