We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Neurosurgeon to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in advanced neurosurgical care, brain and spine surgery, neurotrauma, and complex neurological conditions, with a commitment to delivering safe, precise, and patient-centered surgical care.
The successful candidate will work closely with neurologists, neuroradiologists, neurointensivists, oncologists, orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists, rehabilitation specialists, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive neurosurgical consultations and detailed neurological assessments.
Evaluate patients with disorders affecting the brain, spine, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system.
Develop individualized surgical and non-surgical treatment plans based on clinical findings and advanced diagnostic imaging.
Perform complex elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures within the physician's training, competence, and approved clinical scope.
Manage patients with brain tumors, spinal disorders, neurovascular conditions, traumatic brain injuries, and other complex neurosurgical conditions.
Perform cranial and spinal surgical procedures according to clinical expertise.
Manage degenerative spinal disorders, disc disease, spinal stenosis, spinal cord compression, and nerve-root conditions.
Provide surgical management for patients with traumatic brain injury and intracranial hemorrhage.
Evaluate patients with hydrocephalus and other disorders requiring cerebrospinal fluid management.
Review and interpret MRI, CT, angiography, and other advanced neuroimaging studies.
Assess complex cases and determine appropriate surgical or conservative management.
Perform pre-operative evaluations and provide detailed counseling regarding surgical options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
Provide comprehensive post-operative neurosurgical care and monitor patients for neurological and surgical complications.
Participate in emergency neurosurgical services and urgent management of acute neurological conditions.
Coordinate care for patients requiring neurocritical care and intensive monitoring.
Participate in multidisciplinary discussions for neuro-oncology, cerebrovascular, trauma, and complex spine cases.
Collaborate with neurologists, neurointensivists, oncologists, neuroradiologists, anesthesiologists, and rehabilitation specialists.
Provide counseling and support to patients and families throughout treatment and recovery.
Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential medical records.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, research, and continuing professional development.
Follow applicable UAE healthcare regulations, professional standards, clinical guidelines, and facility policies.
Candidate Requirements
MBBS, MD, or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
Recognized postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery or an equivalent recognized specialty.
Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
Strong experience in advanced neurosurgical practice.
Demonstrated experience in complex brain and spine surgery.
Strong clinical assessment and surgical decision-making skills.
Ability to manage complex elective and emergency neurosurgical cases.
Good knowledge of modern neurosurgical techniques and technologies.
Excellent communication and patient-management skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
