Document Controller – Site
Job Location : Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Key Responsibilities :
• Manage and control all project documents, including drawings, specifications, manuals, correspondence, and reports.
• Ensure all project documents are properly marked, filed, and easily accessible to all team members.
• Track the flow of documents and ensure timely issuance, distribution, and receipt of project documentation.
• Develop and maintain a document control system, including document numbering, filing, tracking, and distribution.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of documents before submitting them to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Provide document control support to the project team and ensure all project documents are reviewed and approved according to established procedures.
• Regularly update document logs to track revisions, approvals, and submission statuses.
• Attend meetings and prepare Minutes of Meetings (MoM) and circulate among members.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure proper documentation flow and address discrepancies.
• Perform quality checks on all project documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Generate regular reports on the status of project documentation, including pending approvals, overdue submissions, and revisions.
• Maintain an audit trail of all document activities and provide regular status reports to management.
Qualifications & Skills :
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of experience in document control, preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
• Engineering Consultancy experience within UAE is mandatory.Downloading Interactive Geographic Maps
• Proficiency in document control software and tools (e.g., Aconex, Procore, EDMS).
• Strong knowledge of engineering and construction documentation processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with document control procedures and regulations.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
