🌟 Key Qualifications & Requirements
◾ Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
◾ Professional training or certification in Environmental Management, HSE, or Occupational Safety.
◾ Proven experience in environmental oversight within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects in the GCC.
◾ Strong knowledge of applicable Saudi environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
◾ Practical experience developing, implementing, and monitoring Environmental Management Plans (EMP).
◾ Knowledge of waste management, pollution prevention, spill control, and environmental protection procedures.
◾ Experience conducting environmental audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring.
◾ Ability to collect, analyze, and maintain environmental monitoring data and compliance records.
◾ Strong technical report-writing and documentation skills.
◾ Knowledge of construction-site HSE requirements and environmental risk controls.
◾ Ability to conduct environmental awareness sessions and training for employees and subcontractors.
◾ Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and site-management skills.
◾ Ability to work effectively with project teams, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
◾ Immediate availability is highly preferred.
🌟 Key Responsibilities
◾ Implement, monitor, and enforce project-specific Environmental Management Plans (EMP).
◾ Ensure construction activities comply with applicable Saudi environmental regulations and project requirements.
◾ Conduct regular environmental site audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
◾ Monitor waste management, emissions, dust, noise, wastewater, and other environmental aspects as applicable to project activities.
◾ Identify environmental risks and non-compliance issues and coordinate appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
◾ Prepare technical environmental reports and maintain accurate monitoring and compliance documentation.
◾ Coordinate with project management, HSE teams, subcontractors, and relevant regulatory authorities.
◾ Develop and deliver environmental awareness and HSE training programs for site personnel and subcontractors.
◾ Monitor environmental performance and contribute to continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.
