Contractual Role

Requirement:
– 2–4 years as a business analyst, product analyst or in a similar requirements role on software products.
– Clear, structured technical writing and fluency in markdown.
– A working technical grasp of web applications: frontend and backend, REST APIs, JSON,
databases. You can read an API document or data model and discuss it with developers. You are not expected to write production code.
– Hands-on experience with AI assistants or AI coding tools such as Claude or Claude Code. You know how context, specificity, examples and constraints change what the model produces, and what a requirement file needs to contain as a result.
– Enough understanding of LLM features, RAG and agents to write requirements for them.
– Confidence with stakeholders: you can facilitate a session, probe a vague request and push back on scope.
– An eye for edge cases and for what has been left unsaid.

What you’ll do
– Run requirement sessions with stakeholders: ask the right questions, find the real need, and resolve gaps and conflicts before anything is written.
– Write detailed markdown requirement documents covering context and goal, scope and out-of scope, user flows, business rules, data and API expectations, edge cases, and testable
acceptance criteria.
– Structure each document so a Claude instance with repository access can implement it without follow-up questions: explicit, unambiguous, with constraints and examples.
– Break large requests into small requirements that can be built and verified independently.
– Work with the technical lead and developers to confirm feasibility and point each requirement at the right services, endpoints and data models.
– Check what was built against the requirement, and tighten the specification when the result misses.
– Keep requirement documents versioned and current as scope changes, and improve the team’s templates and standards for them.
