Payroll Specialist
Job Location : Abu Dhabi – UAE
Key Responsibilities:
• Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for a large number of employees including calculating wages overtime and deductions.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with local laws and company policies.
• Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system.
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
• Collaborate with HR team to ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires terminations and changes to employee information.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance.
• Assist with year-end processes and reporting including W-2s and 1099s.
• Participate in payroll audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Continuously review and improve payroll processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in payroll processing preferably in a large organization.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and best practices.
• Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
• Experience with UAE payroll regulations is a plus.
