Job Description
We are seeking highly qualified and experienced Specialist / Consultant Anesthesiologists to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai, UAE.
The ideal candidates will possess extensive expertise in general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, perioperative medicine, airway management, and critical patient monitoring. Key Responsibilities
Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for various surgical and diagnostic procedures.
Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluate patients' suitability for anesthesia.
Develop individualized anesthesia plans based on patient conditions and surgical requirements
Perform endotracheal intubation, advanced airway management, and other anesthetic procedures within authorized clinical privileges.
Monitor patients' vital signs, hemodynamic stability, oxygenation, and ventilation throughout procedures.
Manage anesthesia-related emergencies, complications, and perioperative critical events.
Provide spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, and peripheral nerve blocks, where appropriately trained and credentialed.
Ensure safe recovery from anesthesia and provide appropriate post-anesthesia care.
Manage perioperative pain and support acute pain management services.
Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, operating theatre nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, anesthesia safety protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
Recognized postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology / Anesthesia.
Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist- or consultant-level qualification.
American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European, or other internationally recognized qualifications are highly desirable.
Specialist: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant post-specialization experience preferred, subject to applicable licensing requirements.
Consultant: Minimum 5–10 years of relevant post-specialization experience preferred, subject to applicable licensing requirements.
Strong expertise in general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, airway management, and perioperative patient care.
Eligible for DHA Specialist or Consultant Anesthesiology classification/license in Dubai, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements.
Preferred Candidate Profile
PQR Tier 1 and Tier 2 qualified professionals preferred.
Internationally trained and board-certified Anesthesiology Specialists and Consultants are encouraged to apply.
Experience in leading multispecialty hospitals, surgical centers, tertiary-care hospitals, or internationally accredited healthcare facilities.
Advanced expertise in regional anesthesia, difficult airway management, perioperative medicine, or acute pain management is highly desirable.
Previous DHA, DOH, or MOHAP licensing experience is an advantage.
GCC experience is an added advantage.
