Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The ideal candidate should possess extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing ear, nose, and throat disorders, performing advanced ENT surgical procedures, and providing comprehensive patient care. The role requires excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat a wide range of ear, nose, throat, and head and neck conditions.
Perform ENT surgical procedures, including tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, septoplasty, and functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS).
Manage sinusitis, nasal obstruction, hearing disorders, vertigo, and voice-related conditions.
Evaluate and treat head and neck masses, salivary gland disorders, and upper airway conditions.
Conduct and interpret nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, audiological assessments, and diagnostic imaging.
Provide surgical and nonsurgical management of chronic ear infections and other ontological disorders.
Assess patients before surgery and provide comprehensive postoperative care.
Manage ENT emergencies, including epistaxis, airway obstruction, and foreign-body emergencies.
Collaborate with audiologists, speech therapists, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary surgical teams.
Supervise and mentor junior physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, surgical safety protocols, infection control, and patient care standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
Recognized postgraduate qualification in Otolaryngology / ENT Surgery.
Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant-level qualification.
American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European, or other internationally recognized qualifications are highly desirable.
Minimum 5–10 years of relevant post-specialization experience preferred.
Strong expertise in advanced ENT surgery, endoscopic sinus procedures, otology, and head and neck disorders.
Excellent surgical skills, communication abilities, and clinical decision-making.
Eligible for DOH Consultant Otolaryngology classification/license in Abu Dhabi, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements.
Preferred Candidate Profile
PQR Tier 1 and Tier 2 qualified professionals preferred.
Internationally trained and board-certified ENT Consultants are encouraged to apply.
Experience in leading ENT departments, tertiary-care hospitals, or internationally accredited healthcare facilities.
Advanced expertise in endoscopic sinus surgery, otological procedures, and head and neck surgery is highly desirable.
Previous DOH, DHA, or MOHAP licensing experience is an advantage.
GCC experience is an added advantage.
