The managerial role was with the electro-mechanical division of the group named Mechel Engineering. Key projects handled during this period was Barwa City Amenities, West / East Expansion of Aspetar at Aspire Zone, Qatar University Students Housing Project and Al Bandary Hotel and Apartments Towers at Al Dafna.
Roles & Responsibilities, but not limited to:
Headed the Planning Department to cater to all the project requirements undertaken by the company. Mentored, trained, and managed the Planning Engineers assigned specifically for the individual projects. Equipped Project Managers with all types of performance reports with respect to schedule and cost for them to have a holistic view of where the project is heading and initiate corrective and preventive actions. Prepared consolidated reports for top management with in-depth analysis and insights of the running projects to foster their decision-making process related to project commitments. Some of the various tasks carried out as part of the responsibilities are as mentioned below:
Scope identification from contract documents
Project budget analysis with respect to labor and cost
Develop, maintain and control project time schedules
Develop, maintain and control engineering submittal schedule

Prepare and submit periodic project status reports to client
Recording and notifying delays related to client actions

Submission of VOR’s to client and its certification
Project cost analysis and reporting cost variances
Prepare management reports for top management
PLANNING ENGINEER AT THERMO LLC, DUBAI UAE FROM OCT 2008 TO MAR 2009
The project assigned was Formula 1 Theme Park at Dubai Motor City. However due to the global financial crisis of 2008 - 2009, the project was suspended in March 2009 and my role lasted only for six months.
PLANNING ENGINEER AT DRAKE & SKULL INTERNATIONAL, DUBAI UAE FROM MAY 2007 TO JULY 2008
The project assigned was ‘Golden Mile’ which consists of ten residential buildings located at the trunk of the famous Palm Jumeirah Island. During this tenure had the opportunity to learn more about MEP activities and how they interface with the civil during construction.
JR PLANNING ENGINEER AT AL AHMADIAH AKTOR, DUBAI UAE FROM OCT 2005 TO FEB 2007
The role was in their head office to develop baseline tender programs in co-ordination with the Estimation Department. During this tenure had the opportunity to learn more about civil construction sequences and activity relationships.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE IN INDIA FROM FEB 2002 TO JUL 2005
Started my career in Feb 2002 as a Graduate Engineer trainee at the Palm Oil Mills of Oil Palm India Ltd located in the palm oil plantations at Kollam. Undergone six months rigorous training in the operations and maintenance of the plant. Left the trainee engineer job to join as Sales Engineer of Mather & Platt heavy-duty pumps at Kochi from Jan 2003. As sales engineer developed relationships with contractors doing heavy -duty pump installation jobs and progressively got selected by a Fire Fighting & Protection systems installation contractor named Cherytech to work as Project Engineer in Mascot Hotel Annex project at Thiruvananthapuram and Lakeshore Hospital project at Kochi from June 2003 to May 2004. Swiftly changed the job when Galfar India offered an opportunity to work as Mechanical Engineer to monitor the installation works of HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Fighting sub-contractors in their Le Meridien Annex Tower project at Kochi from Sep 2004 to Feb 2005. From Mar 2005 worked as Mecon Limited’s Mechanical Site Engineer at KMML project site for the Titanium Dioxide Pigment Plant Expansion project.
