AREAS OF EXPERTISE
• Detailed study of Contract agreement regarding the Scope of supply, terminal Point, Exclusion, makes & the engineering required for the process. Attend internal & external kick of meeting for the projects.
• Responsible for Designing & Creating overall key line diagram of Electrical system up to 650MW Power Plant from 400/132KV GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) to field equipment and other design documents for the customer and providing clarification/reply for the comments receive from end user customer.
• Preparation of purchase order technical specification for electrical brought out equipment (Gas Insulated switchyard), Generator & their auxiliaries including excitation system, Generator circuit breaker, (GCB), Power transformers (GT/UAT) up to 350MVA(Oil type), IPB/SPB/NSP Bus-Duct, HT/LT Motor Control Centre (Draw out/Fixed/ Intelligent MCC), HT-LT Motors (Squirrel Cage & Slip-ring), Rotor starter (liquid/FCMA), Control panels, DC battery & battery Charger, EHV/HT /LT Power & Control Cables, HT/LT VFD & Soft-Starter, electrical heat tracing system, Cable tray, Earthing material, lighting fixtures, Local Push Button Station, Cable Lugs & Gland etc.
• Typical metering & protection diagram, Schematic (Power & Control) drawings for LV/HV Motor feeders, Power feeder & transformer feeder, Lighting system SLD., Instrument List, DCS I/O list.
• Selection & Sizing of various electrical equipment such as Transformer, DG set, LV/HV Switchboards, EHV/HT/LT Power cables considering Voltage drop, fault level, laying method etc. Switchgears selection components as per Type-2 Co-ordination, Battery and battery charger, Motors, Grounding mat design calculation and lightning protection system, lighting system, VFD, Soft-starter, CT /PT sizing etc.
• Preparation of Electrical load list, Instrument list, SCMS I/O list, Electrical MV/LV Power, Control & Instrument Cable Schedule, Electrical Tie-in Schedule, Electrical interconnection diagram. Cable Drum schedule.
• Preparing reports and documents, necessary for the project. Preparing of documents for approval agencies.
• Release of enquiry (material requisition) of all electrical equipment to Vendors. Evaluating technical offers/Bids and selection of vendors. Preparation of Technical Bid evaluation of brought out items. Purchase supports for milestones of the total project. Checking and review vendor submitted post-order drawings and give them the required clearances.
• Review of Power system studies, short circuit calculation (fault level at different level of system), relay protection and coordination, load flow, motor starting analysis.
• Preparation of cable tray layout. Bus ducts arrangement layout. Layout design for switchgear and control room. Study of civil and mechanical drawings and preparation of civil assignments related to electrical equipment. Calculation of erection BOM requirement and its documentation.
• Preparation of lighting distribution scheme and layout for Indoor areas, office areas, control and switchgear room, outdoor areas, cooling tower, conveyors, coal yard, plant treatment areas, Boiler platforms and street/road lighting. Calculation of lighting BOM requirement and its documentation.
• Zone/Division Classification, Type of Protection for Hazardous Areas, Hazardous list preparation, certification of Hazardous area equipment, marking of equipment name plate, Hazardous area drawings/Layout preparation.
• Preparation of proposal for Electrical Package and estimation of Bill of Materials. Site study for Renovation job and estimation of Electrical Hardware and configuration of the same.
• Detailing of electrical system interface such as Fire Alarm /Fire Protection, HVAC.
• Understand the scope and the requirement of electrical equipment in tender specification. Coordination with proposal department to highlight deviations (if any).
• Co-ordination with other departments. Interaction with Client/Consultants. Noteworthy Highlight: Visited Columbia to attend the meeting with customer
• Ensuring quality of documents/drawings and on time delivery of deliverables to the satisfaction of customer and as per quality process procedure. Deputed at GE-Sweden for “Participate in preparation and completion of engineering deliverables" for NOWA Project from 30th, Jan’17 to 15th, Apr’17.
• Conducting Inspection for various equipment such as HT/LT MCC, Bus –ducts, Transformer, Motors (Sq. cage/Slip-rings), VFD & soft-starter etc.) as per standards like IEC & IS testing at manufacturer premises. Noteworthy Highlight: Visited Shanghai-China for the Inspection of Siemens make 4.16 KV HT VFD Drive.
• Co-ordination for erection & Commissioning activities at site. Technical support to the Commissioning team, remove difficulties in day-to-day execution of project with an objective of completion of project within time schedule. Noteworthy Highlight: Visited China for the commissioning of Boiler MCC, VFD Panels & Motors at Nestle-China project.
• Good knowledge of standards and Working day-in day-out on IEEE/IS/IEC/GB/NEMA standards/ Shell DEP.

This project involves modification in existing 33kV for power supply to new train -3 Gas lift compressor motor unit transformer for VSD system including harmonic filter, Modification in 11kV Switchboard for power supply to Gas dehydration package unit transformers(1.6MVA) and 11/0.433, 3.15MVA Distributions transformers, Modification to existing 415 Emergency switchboard and Supply of new 415V Switchboard, LV(415V), Cast resin busduct between Distribution Transformer to 415V New Switchgear, SCMS system modification to integrate new signals into existing system, replacement of 4 nos. 11kv, 4.9MW main oil pump motors, MOV DBs, and other distribution boards as required.
