• Project-1 : Deira Coast Line Project September 2015 SEPT – 2017 sept QHSE Coordinator
Scope of work:
Deira Islands became a new 15.3 km2 waterfront city in Dubai. Part of the new scope was building a 23.5 km coastline and breakwaters. The two-year contract covers 8.5 km of beaches, 3.5 km of quay walls and 9.5 km of rock revetments at two of the four Deira Islands. The work included a 4 km stretch of waterfront, big enough to accommodate more than 500 yachts and boats, at the 4.5 km2 south island. Will construct 2 km of breakwaters to protect the newly-created basin and beachfront. The total contract value amounts to approximately EUR 100 million.

• Project-2 : New Suez Canal project – Egypt January2015 -2015 September Challenge Consortium (Van Oord, Boskalis, NMDC, JDN)-QHSE Coordinator
Scope of work:
Suez Canal expansion contract awarded to a consortium including VanOord, Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V., NMDC (Abu Dhabi) and Jan de Nul (Belgium). Client is the Suez Canal Authorities. The Suez Canal provides a vital shipping link between Europe and Asia. The total contract value amounts to USD 1.5 billion, with each partner entitled to an equal share of USD 375 million.
The 'new' Suez Canal is partially run in parallel to the current waterway and entails widening and deepening of existing parts thereof. The contract includes the construction of the parallel section of the canal with a length of approximately 50 kilometers to allow ships to simultaneously transit in two directions as well as the widening and deepening of a number of existing sections to a depth of 24 meters. The majority of the dredging activities for the canal expansion will be executed with 17 cutter suction dredgers.

• Project-3 : Island No-2, 2013 March – 2015 January -QHSE Coordinator
Scope of work :
The island was partially reclaimed in 2008 up to an average level of +3.00 m DMD and two break waters were also partially constructed along its northern and southern shorelines. The proposed development will be a reclaimed land area of approximate area of 570,000 m2, out of which approximately 275,000 m2 had already been reclaimed in 2008.

The individual physical work elements to be executed by VanOord include the following:

Scope of work :
Palm Deira Development Project is located in the coastal waters of Dubai, North of the Creek. It is the 4th major property development by Nakheel being constructed in the sea, following Palm Jumeira, Palm Jebel Ali and The World. Palm Deira Development Project will extend approx. 12 km into the sea with a width of approx. 6 km. The project consists of sand fill, rock revetments, breakwaters and quay walls.
