As a senior professional I am well-versed and responsible to lead the Procurement team, identify & screen the Suppliers/Subcontractors based on their potentiality, performance and credibility. Negotiate terms & conditions favorably, driving improved supplier service level, minimizing risk while improving business result, standardizing best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Procurement & Subcontracts team and oversee all aspects of procurement & subcontracts functioning towards completion of the entire process.

• Provide training, needful direction and motivate the team in order to ensure smooth functioning and optimum result with great satisfaction.

• Review and approve Purchasing/Subcontract requisitions, Commercial & Technical analysis of various Bids, Purchase Orders & Subcontract agreements etc.

• Develop, implement and maintain Procurement & Subcontract policies & procedures to ensure best practices and resources.

• Liaise with Client’s team as and when required




• Monitor and if necessary get intervene to resolve any obstacle in Custom clearance & Logistic matters.

• Review bid documents and analyzes to determine compliance with the state procurement laws, department policy and procedures.

Organization: M/s. Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR, Halliburton Group Co., USA) company in Kuwait.
Company executed US Govt. projects in Iraq called “Restore Iraq Oil” (RIO) & PCO Oil Program.

During my tenure I had ample opportunity to deal with many reputed multinational & corporate firms all over the world and am well versed with every procurement procedure/activities including terms & conditions, shipping/freight terms, Insurance, custom clearance, Logistics co-ordination etc.

Responsibilities:
• Receive approved material requisitions from various departments/projects.

• Invite Bids from approved and qualified suppliers/vendors.

• Review & evaluate bids considering various aspects/criteria like price, quality, technical compliance, delivery period, warranty etc.

• Obtain approval from the concerned department or project engineering department (if required).

• Submit approved evaluation/ bid tab with all bids & requisition for final approval from the Procurement Manager prior to award.

During my tenure I was the responsible person in every stage of material purchase like sourcing, bid tabulation/evaluation, obtain approval from Engineering Dept./Management, Issuing Purchase Order, Establish L/C. and other payment terms, Insurance & claiming formalities, logistics co-ordination, custom formalities, material costing etc.

I was very keen and efficient in finding & develop new sources/vendors and build-up good relationship with them. I have got very good negotiation skill with out sacrifice or compromise my company interest and practice.
